Plymouth Athenaeum Chief Executive, and new Director of the Plymouth Institution, Owen Ryles discusses the £2m-plus New Athenaeum Project refurbishment works and the re-naming of the society that has operated the Athenaeum building since 1819 on Wednesday, 11 November 2026 (7.30pm).
In this illustrated talk, Owen will discuss the refurbishment works which recently reached the 100-day point, the vision for the New Athenaeum Project and why the society has gone back to the future for its new name.
